European Athletics President Svein Arne Hansen visited his 51st and final European Athletics Member Federation this weekend, fulfilling one of the election pledges he made in 2015.

Last but by no means least on his tour was Luxembourg and Hansen was invited as a special guest to the CMCM Indoor Meeting in Kirchberg on Saturday (2).

Lisek clears a world-leading 5.85m in Cottbus

Poland’s Piotr Lisek nudged the world lead in the pole vault up to 5.85m with a first-time clearance on Wednesday (30) evening at the Springermeeting Cottbus.

A month away from the defining weekend of the winter athletics season, Poland’s Ewa Swoboda showed in Karlsruhe on Saturday night she is ready to challenge for the greatest success of her young career. 

Swoboda, 21, first ran a world lead of 7.08 for the 60m heats at the IAAF World Indoor Tour and then won the final in 7.10.
